I’m slowly helping this page by linking to it from my other domain names. I’m doing it slowly because some SEO experts mentioned that google will flag newly created domains, subdomains or url that abnormally gets high backlinks in a very short period of time. I’m just following their advices.
According to Wikipedia Busby is the English name for Hungarian prémes csákó or kucsma, a militiary head-dress made of fur. While SEO is an abbreviation for Search Engine Optimization. Usually this is the process of making a website search engine friendly specially to popular search engine like google.com. In addition to that process content is created with keyword rich of services or products so that the chances to appear on first page on search result is high.
This is my entry number four. Just to give some updates about this SEO challenge.
There are some changes to the ranking results today. Google shows me pogung117 dot com got the lead. For that changes I’m just going to check on that site.
According to the pogung117 , the site got sandbox by google. Meaning the site disappeared for the result pages for awhile. Well, I can relate to it. This website got Sandbox too. So, my post cannot be found anywhere on google.
Most likely the site pogung117 blogger mentioned on his site that some Busby participants did some digging over at Digg portal but he posted on his site that it wont help that much in getting to higher ranking. Well, I guess its up to us if we will trying to use digg or not. Some SEO guys believe though that Digg plays some factor in getting that desired SERP. Well, lets try it.
The second website who succesfully ranked Busby SEO Challenge is imfreatz.com/competition
I visited the site and checked some of his blog entries. The site has some informative content for SEO which includes some SEO tools and tips.
Here are some information about the imfreatz.com/competition site.
1. Main site is a business website.
2. It has a link from the main page to the competition subfolder.
3. Another Wordpress system.
4. Static keyword rich on the competition page.
sphereteam is currently the leader on the Busby SEO challenge. Wow, that would inspire me to work more on this Busby SEO contest.
Like what I’ve mentioned on my first post for this SEO contest I’ll be checking those website who are doing good in optimizing their web entry.
Here are some information about the sphereteam entry.
1. First entry for the Busby SEO challenge was June 5, 2008.
2. They use wordpress. I think wordpress helps a lot in ranking on google.
3. They use a good wordpres theme for their SEO blog website entry.
4. They put any of the three keywords in their entry title. Not necessarily in order.

I joined the contest last July 10, 2008. Its a month late since the start of this Busby SEO Challenge. That would put this site into a disadvantage state however, I can still try to optimize and do a little SEO of the contest keyword.
As part of my preparation I will be searching and checking those contestant leaders for the keyword Busby SEO Challenge and observe what they did to be on the top result page.
